Quiet Smoking Now with Smoke App II Lite 1.0 for iPhone/iPad/iPod

Stop Smoking Now with Smoke App II Lite 1.0 for iPhone/iPad/iPodYou can not quit smoking? do not be sad, keep trying to quit smoking, because smoking is very detrimental to your health and money. There is a special application for the iphone to make you stop smoking. The name, Smoke App II Lite 1.0. With applications Smoke App II Lite 1.0, you can smoke virtually. This application will simulate when you inhale smoke, you can still see the smoke on the iphone screen. Maybe by looking at the smoke, you will be satisfied.
For the past 8 weeks I've been using the Livestrong stop smoking app on my iPhone and it has really helped a lot. Once you download the app, you enter various information such as how many cigarettes you smoke per day, the cost of a pack of cigarettes, and the date you'd like to quit smoking. So far I'm down to 6 cigarettes per day and the date I chose to quit is November 1st. The app gradually helps me to cut down on the number of cigarettes I smoke per day. Just thought I'd mention this here in case anyone else wanted to give it a shot. Good luck!

Get it on the App Store

Android 3.2 SDK released

Motorola Xoom

The Android 3.2 SDK includes a new zoom-to-fill screen compatibility mode and lets developers better target a range of screen sizes

Hot on the heels of the Motorola Xoom’s Android
3.2 update, Google has released the Android 3.2 Honeycomb Software
Development Kit.

Tipped as coming in mid-July, the updated SDK
adds support for 7-inch Honeycomb tablets, activates the microSD card
slot in all Honeycomb tablets, and much much more.

While Android 3.2 Honeycomb is only an incremental release, the SDK
adds several new capabilities for users and developers. The
capabilities include API (application programming interface) changes as
well as support changes.

Overall, Android 3.2 highlights include:

  • Optimizations for a wider range of screen sizes. The SDK now allows
developers to better target a range of screen sizes, not just 10.1-inch.
  • New fill-screen mode, a zoom-to-fill screen compatibility mode,
which “renders the application in a smaller screen area and then scales
the pixels to fill the current screen.”
  • Music and video files can be loaded directly from the SD card meaning the SD card slot now works and isn’t broken.
  • Extended screen support API provides developers with more “precise
control over the user interface across the range of Android-powered
devices.” Developers will be allowed to target   screen sizes now too.

Overall, I’d say the additional screen size
support is really huge and will open the door to even more Android
slates. It will allow tablets like the Huawei MediaPad and HTC Flyer to
be an in-between display option between phones and 8.9-inch tablets like
the Galaxy Tab 8.9.

Many users view 7-inch tablets as the perfect
size and hopefuly this will allow Android to really grow and
differentiate from the iPad.

If you’re interested, the Android 3.2 software development kit is available for download right here.

Download Free Angry Birds for Android - Full version

Angry Birds has finally lost its Android beta tag and is now available as a full game from app store GetJar.

GetJar seems to be on a bit of a mission at the moment to make all mobile phone games free.

It recently teamed up with Glu Mobile (who makes DJ Hero amongst others) to make one free Glu game available every week and now it has nabbed the exclusive of the full version of Angry Birds for Android.

"Selecting GetJar as the place to launch our first ever full Android version of Angry Birds was an obvious choice," said Rovio's Peter Vesterbacka.

"GetJar's global reach and popularity as well as their unique App It! download service ensures that we reach a massive audience of fanatically loyal Angry Birds addicts."

App-y days

This will be something of a kick in the teeth for Google who relies on Market for its app distribution.

The full version of Angry Birds will be free for the time being on Android, as it will come with Google/AdMob support and there will be some in-app purchases coming to the Android version of Angry Birds at a later date.

This sounds like the Mighty Eagle which was originally exclusive to cheating Nokia users.

Go to here to download Angry Birds. The site seems to be rather slow at the moment, so we're guessing it is proving popular.

But make sure your phone is ready for it: if you're rocking an Android phone, head to Settings, Applications then make sure the box 'Unknown Sources: Allow install of non-market applications' is checked before you download
